Importance of studying ancient greece
These three things relate to us today for many reasons. Because of the olympics, we have continued that on today and we continue to celebrate the idea of sports and athletes. Some of the event are the same today and some are different from Ancient Greece Olympics. From the Ancient Architecture, we have created more life like sculptures of people that we now place on the top of trophies today. Nike is the God of victory and we use that as a logo for sports clothing today. We have gained so much knowledge about education from the Greeks. We have learned science and math principles that we teach to the students now. We continue to share the knowledge of Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle. We use their quotes and live by their morals that they believed in. We continued on the legacy of drama and theater. The Greeks influenced our way of acting and performing. We use masks and costumes today to play a different role and perform to the best of our ability. We use the comedy and tragedy masks today as our logo for high school speech and drama. We have been greatly influenced by Ancient Greece and how they lived. We have continued on some major parts of the Greek culture. So does the past truly affect the present? You can for sure say now that almost everything we have today and or use today comes from the advancements and achievements of Ancient Greece.
